Reproduction is a process that enables species to live generation after generation. There are two processes of reproduction- Asexual and Sexual. Asexual reproduction does not involve the fusion of gametes and the offspring formed by asexual reproduction are identical and are referred to as clones. Sexual reproduction is mostly found in higher animals. The transfer of male gametes is one of the most essential events in the process of sexual reproduction. Fertilization is the fusion of male and female gametes that results in the formation of the fetus. In plants, the result reproduction is either a flower or a fruit.
